// NJEMA FOUNDATION
Our Impact
The NJEMA Foundation was created in response to the growing financial needs we’ve seen over the years while working with three key ministries dedicated to mentoring children, teens, and young people across Kenya.

The Three Ministries
The three key ministries that gave birth to the Foundation have served different needs across different populations in Kenya.

01 – Mentorship
Alternative Rites of Passage
The Alternative Rites of Passage (AROP) ministry for boys and girls girls in their adolescent stages as they transition from childhood to adulthood was started in 2007. This unique program has benefited over 2,500 boys and 500 girls in its 18 years.
The Need
Finances are required to expand the ministry to all the parts of our beloved nation and abroad.
02 – Mental health
Rehabilitation for Youth
The second ministry is the mental health which has endeavored to rehabilitate young men and women who have had addiction and dependency issues with alcohol, tobacco, bhang, and other drugs and substances. Since its launch in 2015, this ministry has helped close to 400 young people to get their mental health back.
The Need
Funding is needed to support the many needy young people who are not able to pay for the treatment.

03 – Education
Sponsorship for Children
The education and sponsorship ministry is the latest, having been launched in 2018. The ministry endeavors to give a decent education to needy children from a slum at the tip of Nairobi County, located in Rongai, a residential area situated at the entry to Kajiado County.
The Need
Since its inception, the ministry has realized the urgent funding needs by hundreds of learners who are unable to afford elementary education.
