Mentoring Young People from Childhood to Adulthood

The Njeri and Macharia (NJEMA) Mentorship Foundation provides mentorship and empowerment support for children through education, alternative right of passage programs, and rehabilitation from drugs and substance abuse.

// WHO WE ARE

About Us

At the heart of our initiatives lies the goal of supporting young people to achieve quality education, be well adjusted in society, and cope with the demands of adulthood. Our operations are founded on three pillars as detailed below:

// THE SDGs

We Promote Good Health and Foster Quality Education

The NJEMA Foundation seeks to impact our society anchored on the principles of two sustainable development goals (SDGs).

Target 3.4: Promotion of mental health and well-being.
Target 3.5: Prevention and treatment of substance abuse.
Target 4.1: Access to education for all girls and boys.
Target 4.2: Skill development through mentorship.
// OUR IMPACT

The Initiatives that Inspire Our Existence

The Foundation was birthed out of the needs in our society identified in the populations that our partner institutions have served over the years.

Sponsorship for Kids

The Gatehouse School, one of our partners, has identified a need to support children from the Bangladesh informal settlement in Rongai to attain elementary education. NJEMA seeks to make the sponsored children’s education sustainable.

Rehabilitation for Adults

Turningpoint House, which provides rehabilitation services for individuals struggling with drug and substance abuse, including alcohol, has identified the need to assist vulnerable individuals to access the services. NJEMA seeks to address this need.

Mentorship for Boys and Girls

Turningpoint Counseling Solutions rolled a program for conducting rite of passage services for boys and mentorship services for girls as they transition to adulthood while preventing FGM practices for girls. NJEMA seeks to help needy boys and girls to access these services.

Mentorship

The Foundation envisions a society where young people of all ages
get the mentorship they need to be responsible members of society.
Growth is at the core of the mentorship programs we run.
